Many people understand being saved but too many stop there. Yes, we're going to heaven but in John 10:10 Jesus says "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly". That's not heaven, that's talking about this life - the here and now. Are you living an abundant life - here and now? And if not, how can we make that happen for our life? There's really only one way - it's not magic and it's not luck. Fortunately, it's all laid out for us, but the responsibility lies with us in using and knowing the manual.

Say you were given a brand new beautiful car. You don't know how to drive it or what all it's features are but you have an owner's manual to learn with. This is the same with your life. Would you shake your fist at the car dealer and be angry with him for not knowing how to drive your car properly? Hardly... you would teach yourself.

Your new car would have safety features, guarantees and best performance advice - so does your life. Why do we have more knowlege about our cars than our lives? So many drive through life distracted by everyday problems, being robbed of joy, happiness and fulfillment and not realizing it doesn't have to be this way.

Unfortunately, people often let their lives just "happen" to them instead of taking control of their lives. There is so much negative input floating around telling us "what is normal". Slowly, the further from the truth we drift, the more jaded we become.

The wrecks are everywhere in society, people hurt and hurting others because of it, selfishness, moral decay, hate, anger, resentment. We don't even know where to start to heal because it's hurts so much.

We are told to study and meditate on the manual (the Bible). Anything we attempt to do without having knowlege of "how to" do it will fail.

Interesting Thought: Just like passing our driver's test, God allows us tests and trials in life but the good news is there is no failing! (You just get to retest until you do pass : )
