John 10:10 says: The thief (Satan) does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I (Jesus) have come that they may have life, and that they may have life more abundantly.

Who wouldn't love a more abundant life and how exactly can we get it? It's a process - a learning process. Learning may not sound like fun but you learn new things everyday. You generally learn what the world wants you to know. You have an entire cheering section (T.V., Hollywood, news media, peer pressure, selfishness) to convince you that this is the way life really is.

Wrong! It takes an intentional "stay awake" attitude to see what is happening to your life and not to be filled-up by the garbage that's just slopped on your plate.

You have to make a decision to start your own personal rebellion "against" the world's way of doing things. There is only one way and now we are going to start to learn the right way to true peace, contentment, prosperity and happiness. It may seem counter-intuitive to everything you've ever learned but when you want something different to happen then you obviously can't continue to do the same thing! If you want this wisdom then let's get "heads up" and learn it.

Wisdom - yes, it starts with knowledge, information, but if there is no change then information is like a dictionary lying packed away on a shelf - useless. We're looking for change. We need to look to Who can help us with this change. God is in Heaven (who hears and sees us), Jesus is at His right side and the Holy Spirit is here on earth, living inside us to help us.

So first we accept Jesus as our savior, and then we must be filled with the Holy Spirit, for he teaches us truth and wisdom. Of course, we cannot forget The Manual; "The Bible". This is where all the answers lie and now we have an extra inside advantage by being filled with the Holy Spirit. How do you receive the Holy Spirit? - You simply ask.

If you wanted to learn a craft you would hang out with the experienced craft-person - right? So to learn wisdom; we must get to know the ways and thoughts of the wise. Now that we know the path we want to take, let's get to know the One who will lead us.

Interesting Thought: So many people seek to be unique and different. They always want to "stand out". So why do they continue to look at the mass majority to see what they are doing?
